New Play About Leon Theremin to Open at First Light 2011 Festival in New York

A new play about the exploits of Leon Theremin during the depression-era is set to open this month as part of a series of works celebrating science and technology the Ensemble Studio Theater in New York. Pidgeon, by Tommy Smith and directed by William Carden, will begin its 5 performance run on April 20th. Theremin music will be provided by Jen Rondeau. Tickets are just $15 each and can be purchased online. Other works in the First Light 2011 festival include a play about a particle collider built in Texas in 1993, an examination of the 1960 "obedience experiments" at Yale University, and Flatland, a look into what happens when inhabitants of various dimensions visit each other.
