Thierry, I'm a little confused as to exactly what a "volume only" theremin is. If a "pitch only" instrument has no volume control, then a "volume only" instrument presumably has no pitch control. ???!!!

Dominik's "volume only theremin" is only the left side of a theremin, really a theremin without pitch. That means that you can feed the signal of a pitch only theremin in and get it attenuated depending on your hand's position above the volume loop.

Technically spoken it is a gesture controlled VCA.

Sergeij Zaslavski uses the combination of both, mounted together on a wooden bar, in one of his videos on youtube (http://www.youtube.c...)

Thanks Thierry. I have seen Sergei Zaslavsky's videos ever since he started posting them to YT and I have wondered exactly what sort of theremin he was playing.
