Not I. An ePro isn't high enough priority at the moment for me.

It will be interesting to see how the bidding goes - it seems that the vendor "cinnamonjuly" is not a part of the online theremin community - on his youTube channel he describes himself as having a life-long obsession with synthesisers and electronic music. My guess after watching his demo video is that he bought it specifically for its CV capabilities and has not, for whatever reason, invested the time required to master it, and has no idea what previous ePro's have fetched on eBay.

I hope it goes to a musician at a sensible price rather than someone who sees it as a financial investment, although it will be kind of amusing if the big money bidders move in and it fetches a price way above cinnamonjuly's expectations.

I really don't think the EPro's are being bought as 'investment' opportunities for folks with money to burn.

Chances are, they're being picked up by folks that probably already have more than one Theremin, but really desire the pitch linearity, and other benefits provided by an EPro. Or maybe, have a chance to glimpse into Bob Moog's mind, on his last Theremin design... RIP, Bob. :(

The high costs are simply due to Moog Music's refusal to put the same electronics into a cheaper plastic case. Once done, the "Woody" Pros will drop their value like rocks (which has already plummeted since this last summer, anyways).

It seems that people return on a more realistic ground. Perhaps one day one will get a three year old Etherwave Pro for the half of the list price, same calculation as for used cars...
