Another landmark NYC theremin event is coming very close now and I haven't seen it bubble up to the front page yet so I'm re-posting it here.

Four nights and a comission too!!! That's great for a theremin based event anywhere. I heard an instrumental excerpt of this at the last NYTS event and it was beautiful. With that and what's come out on Spellbound I have to confess I'm an Elizabeth Brown fan now.

Commissioned by the Barlow Foundation, Rural
Electrification explores the advent of electricity in
rural America, which arrived decades after American
cities were electrified. A young woman reveals her
hopes, dreams and fears of what electricity, as
portrayed by the theremin, will mean for herself, her
family, and their prospects in the world.

This is likely to be a great experience. Elizabeth Brown is a fine composer and Thereminist.

Since I live halfway across the USA, I can't make the live performance. Fortunately, Elizabeth is getting airplay on Spellbound.

It's coming up this week.
When are NYC/Brooklyn-there-mites going?
I'll probably make the frodoian treck out of Manhattan Friday or Sat.

I hope JB considers putting this on the home page.
I'll add posts to keep bubbling this up in the sidebar.

So, who else is going? Will I see you Friday, I'll be wearing black :~)

Well, as it turns out I switched my tickets so I could go to Armen's show on Friday, then Sat. didn't work out and I missed it. :~(
Yeah, I know, after all this PR work too, ah well.

Can some one post a report of what is was like?
