I'm surprised no one has mentioned it here yet, but Jonathan Coulton, of "Code Monkey" fame, uses his Etherwave in "The Future Soon" in the second verse, from 1:18 to 1:55.
The song is about a guy who dreams of turning himself into a cyborg to gain the affections of his unrequited love. So, of course, the use of a theremin in the song is totally appropriate.
