Oh! Sometimes seeking for my subscopes results in results (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wBGm-HyzlU).
It is the voicematic to be seen in action, besides a color-glad studio. Hopefully you will understand more than me of what is being said.
Sergei: well done!

I didn't understand a single word, but it was great to see the performer and the instrument getting some exposure on TV. His playing was excellent.

Thanks for posting! That's a very interesting theremin model he's playing. It reminds me of Lydia Kavina's theremin made by Tony Henk with the pitch and volume circuits in completely different enclosures. Wish I could understand what he's saying!

I just found some more info on that theremin with a close-up. This is a flyer from the Without Touch 4.0 conference:

Also great to see a theremin split into two functional components.

A volume-only theremin (in conjunction with a fixed volume electronic instrument - for instance, a stylophone) is of far more musical benefit than a pitch-only theremin!

It would be nice to see a volume only theremin component for sale as an add-on for folks who already have a pitch-only half. Modular theremins FTW!

So this theremin model is for sale? I had never seen it before. It sounds really good, and the performance is great.

:: His playing was excellent.
Yes, exciting.

:: It reminds me of Lydia Kavina's theremin made by Tony Henk..
..which design to me is fine exceptional.

:: A volume-only theremin (in conjunction with a fixed volume electronic instrument - for instance, a stylophone) is of far more musical benefit than a pitch-only theremin!
I agree. Precise and fast amplitude modulation with a foot operated volume-pedal ainĀ“t that easy, too.

:: It would be nice to see a volume only theremin component for sale as an add-on for folks who already have a pitch-only half.
Which could be the more complex and more expensive unit.. i guess pitch only players commonly will use a pitch-only as effect devices and might be happy with a foot-volume-pedal.

::Modular theremins FTW!
Pitch preview is possible for those being in the need of. A delay before the VCA for example. On Fuzz-units distortion happens with the signal getting stronger. Which could be good. With a Fuzz before the VCA the already distorted signal can be amplitude modulated.
Besides: a Theremin in two units might pack smaller. But it is kind of uncomfortable to get in on the stand (s) and then all those cables.. model 007!
