NYC- Components and ICs

Anyone know where I can get quality/cheap components/ ICs and sockets and other goodies in NYC (Brooklyn/Manhattan)? Besides Radio Shack I mean- they never seem to have what i need (like IC sockets- wtf?!?!). I'm too impatient to wait for something from online!
