Hello everyone,

I’m new to Theremin World, and I wanted to contribute something unique. This is my first theremin built into an Owl procured from Goodwill. The schematic is based on Art Harrison’s 145 theremin. I documented the whole project on Flickr:

This is Arts site (I’m sure you all might be familiar with him):

About me: I’ve been building analog effects pedals for six years strong. I’m one semester shy of an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Maryland at College Park with a focus on micro-electronics (IC fabrication) with much of my research focused on analog signal processing. I hope you can attach as much of my info as possible, as I would love to answer questions about the project and be as helpful as possible to the forums.

Welcome to Theremin World Marcus.

Scary cute owl. Reminds me of when Pamelia Kurstin described the classic style of theremin playing as sounding like "a broken owl."

This is just too cool - I had to bump it to the front page. Great project Marcus, and thanks for sharing so many pictures of the construction process! Do you have any video of yourself (or cats) playing it?
