The Theremin - Just Strange Noises

Because I am not a musician, rather a theremin master builder, I find enjoyment with the theremin in ways different than most. Early on I had student builders curious about using heterodyning with the study of the paranormal. I remember we use to have a TW member named Dave who lived in Sedona, Arizona. That place has been referred to as the paranormal capitol here in the States.

Often I have my theremin purring in the background at an extra low frequency as it seems to help me think, this is what I mean when ever I say my theremin talks to me.

One time I was facing away from the theremin at my computer and all of a sudden in a "booming voice" that momentarily terrified me, the theremin yelled…..Echo-FoxTrot-Charlie… Tower   This happened once and never again.

I design my own theremins, I wonder if others have had their musical recording trashed by a strange tick, scratch or buzz sound while recording one of your finest performances'?

Edit: That booming Echo-FoxTrot I always believed was transmitted from a low flying airplane over my house rather than an EVP on steroids.

Oh yes.... I will post one clip tonight of that "noise" in question, it is quite interesting... As if someone was trying to say something in another dimension and got translated in that way. Cannot quite explain it.

This recording is an improv with my pianist friend. I didn't know what he was going to play and he didn't know that I was going to either. It is a fun project. I spared you the whole thing cause the pice is almost 7 mins long. If you listen carefully (and I did increase the volume of the noise in question) at 1:03, that is when you'll hear a high pitch frequency...

My 12 year old XP computer is on its last leg. Unfortunately I can't play anything that requires Java Script which is almost every webpage. I tried the Restore feature and that just erased every bookmark, shortcut and more.

Have my eye on a new pc box in the next week or so, otherwise my theremin days are numbered as I must let the digital age move onward without me. The true Theremin Spirit has been abandoned in the new age of electronics. Knowledge has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts.

PS: Have not heard from our friend. (-:

its too short! - should be at least 20 minutes, morphing from where it ends now up to something spectacular and less relaxing over the next 5 minutes, theremins and synths going crazy - then coming down and back to your voice for the final 5 minutes! ;-) LOL

What is too short? THe pice I posted? It is originally 7 mins long... But the theremin piano project we are doing is all improvs. what you heard was improv. It is pretty cool, i never knew I could do something like that ~ and we will do more since people react nicely when they hear the music. :) 

Did you hear the ghost sound though? It's just weird it showed up there.
