Well, I finally wrote my first real piece (not counting the exercises I'm writing) for "the beast". This instrument needs some repertoire!

Only two months in on my journey so I'm sorry the performance is not better (alas, honesty dictates that I fess up I did correct a few notes in there) - what's a poor composer with < 80 hours of practice supposed to do?

But for this kind of a piece, being spot on tune is not really a dire necessity for it to come across.

Could maybe get the levels a bit better and do a bit more dynamically with the sampled strings. As I get better, I will create a better performance.

Thanks kkissinger. Hopefully in the not to distant future I'll be able to play it as my mind conceived it.

Finally got around to fixing up my Halloween Waltz in time for this year's Trick-or-Tweet.

I was never happy in that it was:

1. A bit too short

2. Not quite over the top enough

3. Not played well enough by me

I think I've fixed that now so everyone gets a better idea of what it is.

Score is here if anyone is interested:
