Is there a better power supply for an Etherwave?

So far, I've gone through three power supplies for my Big Briar Etherwave.  The problem is always the same: one or both of the electric prongs comes loose, and then it stops working.  I've never had this problem from any other kind of wall-wart power supply in my life.

Does anyone besides Moog make a power supply that works with Etherwaves that's more durable?

Thanks.

Hello larold,

Edit: Ok I missed again, on the wrong end as usual. Plug the wall wart permanently into a power cord for protection.

💀 this can be dangerous, even letal. electro-stimulation of the end- nerves is not fun. kids, better look away now.

for the hardcore diy-er: crack the wall-wart carefully open, solder the power cable instead of the prongs, put all in a new plasticbox that fits, don't forget strain relief, check everything and that's that. not much to do, but again, one needs to be carefull. and understand basic electronics.

unfortunately, instrumentalparts.com does not sell moog parts anymore! just recieved a email from mike. the pictures are still there so you can spot a difference between european(my kind) and 110V wallwarts.

I guess the answer's "No, no one makes a better supply that works with Etherwaves."

Does anyone know if the current supplies are better than the older ones?  The picture on Moog's webpage looks different than either of the kind I've got now (which are both Big Briar).  Maybe it's just the way it's shot, but it looks shorter than the old ones.  At least the sticker looks more professional, less DIY.

Thanks.

Not ragging on you, but It's almost impossible to get any meaningful technical info from that product pic, it's pretty much black on black.  Might as well be a picture of a polar bear in a snow storm.

no there are no better ones, unless you build your own, or have it built by someone.

actual model. made by GlobTek. even the pins are labeled. hey, someone misses the "this is not a midi device" note?
