Moog Etherwave problem: no power

Greetings!

I'm a newcomer in the Theremin world and I'm asking for a little piece of advice. This might've been discussed here already so sorry about that, but:

My Moog Etherwave theremin has been standing indle for a few months and now I'm going to start practising frequently. However, now that I tested it, the power doesn't seem to go on. Before it worked perfectly, and I haven't dropped it or done any likewise physical harm to it.

I tested with several cables, headphones etc to find out the problem is in the theremin itself. There's absolutely no sound, not even when turning the instrument on or off. I opened the instrument to check the connections (visually) and they seemed just fine.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I can give more information if needed. I hope someone would have the time to write a reply. Thanks a lot!

basically, yes. i don't know about your electronic skills, so that you would be able to troubleshoot and fix your instrument. unfortunately, i have to spend the next couple of days or so in the hospital, so most hopefully thierry or someone else chimes in and can guide you deeper into it. all the best. 

For a start it is necessary to check whether the power supply goes through an adapter to a theremin. Then checked the voltage regulators on the motherboard tool.

I have acquired a multimeter, but I'm not exactly sure what to do. Can you elaborate a bit if possible? Sorry for being a pest
