Hello.

I have build two theremins using this schematics https://antiqueradio.org/art/Theremin1961-5.jpg and it simply play too loud if hooked to a guitar amplifier.

I should use an attenuator or it is possible to make a modification.

Best regards

You built all this old school stuff and you have to ask this question seems fishy to me.

You should know exactly what to do, then again you built two so maybe not, try this:

      Try This Attenuator

Is it too loud only if J1 is plugged to an guitar amplifier and o.k. if plugged to an standard aux input?
If the audio tape potentiometer R7 is turned to mass should no signal to be heard, is there a remaining loudness?

I build a 40db using this page http://www.uneeda-audio.com/pads/
Maybe a little too much attenuation but at least no distortion.
Regards.
