I can't answer your question, but I would mention that here in the US a lot of places are selling the Claravox that were not and still aren't listed on the Moog dealer site, and perhaps this is the case in Canada too?  For example we have BH Photo and Sweetwater Sound taking preorders, and certainly BH Photo was never mentioned (I would have ordered from there).  They do ship to Canada if you get desperate, but I guess that's what you are trying to avoid.

So... for us Canadians, do we even have any dealers to buy from who have locations here/actually ship here? I genuinely can't find anything aside from Steve's Music Store, and only having one supplier is discouraging.

According to Google there are Moog Audio shops in Montreal and Toronto (maybe elsewhere?) - have you tried them?

Unfortunately, I have looked there. Moog Audio... does not sell the latest innovation in gesture-controlled audio. Ironic.

I ended up pre-ordering from Steve's Music Store. Excited to get my Claravox soon! I only hope it'll be as good as it's purported to be from what interviews we can find right now, and that they're released soon. Do we have an exact date on that yet?

Ooh, I stand corrected. Last time I checked, they didn't have any - but perhaps I was looking at a specific location that didn't carry them. Good to have another option for people still looking to buy, in any case.

Yep.  The price is the same as the other place and it looks like it was just recently added.

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say hello after a long time. I've ordered the Claravox in November, waiting to receive it within the end of the month.
I'll keep you updated on my impressions when I receive it.

From Diggy Dog 10/24/2020: Well, I found a 20% discount code for Prymaxe.  It is BOO20.  It didnt work when I tried to order but a friendly customer service  rep helped my via chat and I got the theremin and the stand for $1,399.00.Unfortunately, I just received a message from Prymaxe customer service that they will not offer this deal to additional buyer(s). Oh, well....I'm sorry to hear that.   I guess I slipped through.   Hopefully they won't try to cancel my order or something.

Prymaxe still offers the discount - I was so surprised that I immediately ordered the instrument and the stand at 20% off (!!!!), NO tax, and NO shipping for $1399.45. I went through the online chat and they sent an invoice while I was on chat. Here’s the link: https://www.prymaxe.com/products/moog-claravox-centennial-theremin

This just in from Moog:

Claravox Centennial: Update

The response to Claravox Centennial has exceeded our expectations and it is our focus to get them to customers as quickly as possible. We are excited to begin production of this Limited Edition instrument this month and are currently staging the production areas, verifying incoming materials and preparing for shipments. While it will likely take us into Q2 2021 to fulfill the total global customer demand, we expect to begin shipping production quantities at the start of the year.

Not entirely unexpected and personally I don't mind.  Our UPS and FedEx have taken to simply skipping houses at the end of their routes during the busy season, and instead of delivering the next day the item will just sit at the back of the truck.  Last year I had a week of "out for delivery" notices only to change to "rescheduled for tomorrow" at the end of the day.  After 8 days of that I had them pull it off the truck.  So early next year is fine with me, but if they are just now setting up production then something went wrong.
