Theremin Forum Tips

Try the Search
~ There is a wealth of information posted in our forums. Try searching for your answer there first. Some of the best explanations previously posted may not be repeated if your question was already answered.
Stay on Topic
~ It's easy to get carried away on tangents. If a topic has inspired something else you want to discuss consider starting a new thread for it.
Ignore spammers, respond to them personally and not through the board, or report them.
~ On rare occasions a user may "spam" the forum with irrelevant, redundant or advertising posts to get personal attention or build up links and "Google References" for themselves. Please do not respond to them in the forum but report them to the administrators.
Avoid large images.
~ Adding images to your posts can be fun but large files can have a negative impact on the appearance and performance of the site, and may necessitate editing or deletion by the staff. Please use small web ready images.
Avoid long unborken URL-s and character strings.
~ Adding URL-s to your posts is very helpful, but long unbroken strings in them or other character strings will break the appearance of the site, and may necessitate editing or deletion by the staff. Please use use carrage returns so they wrap and suggest readers copy and paste then if needed.
Form a good title and write concisely.
~ Use a title that communicates your question or point, try and keep your post to the point as well and in general check the spelling and avoid slang to make your message as clear as possible.
Be Polite.
~ Obviously.
Be patient and keep checking.
~ Community members who may know how to help you may be busy themselves. Please be patient before bumping your post back up and check back often as members may chime in unexpectedly.
Read the entire thread before responding.
~ Not only may the course of a topic change over time, your comment or question may have already been posted. Also careful reading helps you be relevant and prevents misunderstandings.
No blogs or solicitations.
~ ThereminWorld forums are not designed to host personal blogs and the infrastructure cannot support extremely long discussions. Personal advertising (beyond concert listings and announcements), building personal web linkages (link bombing), and sales solicitations are not permitted.
