$3,000 to $15,000 depending on condition!

Good luck!

BTW....Does it work?

(edit)

Poor choice of words. Is it fully functional? Can it be played?

The only problem would be...

Is there anyone out there who can afford to purchase the puppy?

What kind of "buyer" are you looking for?

The best buyer would be a theremin enthusiast who would love, cherish, and play it.

Any other buyer would simply be an antiques collector, but it would have a limited appeal in that market, not to mention a waste of a good theremin.

I get the feeling you chose the word "liquidate" as if selling the theremin (which is the subject of your question) on eBay is a negative connotation.

Selling the instrument on eBay, and making it known here, will give the theremin the largest, enthusiastic audience possible.

In case you are unaware, ebay is not just an outlet for garage sale bargains. Items with great intrinsic value often sell for that, if not more.

As in all things....the seller does not set the value....the market does.

There is a fair chance you will be contacted by one or more people here who will make you an offer from this posting.

This is great to hear another RCA has surfaced, and in great condition no less!

Could you possibly post the serial number of the instrument and the cabinet here?

The instrument serial number could be engraved in the metal in front of the the vacuum tube sockets starting with 200XXX or 100XXX. It could be elsewhere, such as written on the wood shelf. The cabinet number is stamped on the bottom of both doors: a number between 1 and 500.

Newtothisworld, if what you want is to get a good price for it and at the same time see to it that it's going to the best home it can get within a reasonably short time, listing it on ebay is a good method. Then come here and post the ebay URL, and it will get plenty of attention from the theremin community, especially in mint condition.
