Sometimes you want to respond to a single person. Using a quote function works well in this time of need.
I’ve been getting by using the {i} and {/i} tags.

No worries there.
A fuller featured, optimized and easier to maintain forums module is on the top of the list for V-2.
Can't wait till we're on ASP.NET and can stop jury-rigging things just to keep afloat.
