User deletable threads?

So we can clean up our own messes, and move on. I've seen some forums that allow a thread to be deleted by it's creator.

I am opposed to "User Deletable Threads", particularly threads where others besides the thread's creator have participated.

To give users this authority allows a user to create a thread and, when the comments from others are not to the creator's liking, then the creator can simply erase the thread. This would be a form of censorship and quite unfair to people who have contributed to the thread.
