I auditioned for America's Got Talent yesterday and wrote briefly (http://www.wobblymusic.com/blog/2011/02/27/will-lightning-strike-twice/) about the experience:

I hope that audition went well.

I was approached by AGT regarding auditions last year, but the audion site was too far for me to get to on my budget.

TURKEY'S GOT TALENT

Here is a performance of Erik Satie's GNOSSIENNE #1, as it was played by Cihan Gulbudak on his Moog Etherwave theremin in YETENEK SIZSINIZ TURKIYE ("TURKEY'S GOT TALENT") on Turkish television.

This thereminist plays his Etherwave with the "clenched fist" technique so there is no articulation, and he "skates" in an agonizingly off-key monotone from note to note without ever muting the instrument (in spite of the fact that his volume hand bobs all over the place).

The harpist was great! She would have been much better off without Gulbudak.
