OK, I have it!
The first sounds have scared all cats in the neighbourhood away, so that is a good thing.
If the family is happy I don't know, really.... :-)
But I have played something ones that got me the question: "Did you try to play 'Startrek'?"
And YEAH! I did!
So, there is hope, after 2 hours. :-)

In only two hours?! Excellent--it gives me hope once I get mine working. As for the cats and family--if your amplifier has a headphone jack, that should permit you to practice without disturbing them.

Hi.. I am in Dublin. I have been lurking here for a while, getting a feel. I have just had delivery of my new etherwave (I have been dipping my toe in with the B3 Theremin). Tried to get to see Pamelia Kursten when she was in town for DEAF (Dublin Electronic Arts Festival) but fate was against that, so I will have to wait for her next visit... Damn!

And? Did you, just like me, scared all the cats away in the area? :-)
Do you have people around to motivate you?

Ha Ha.. I don't need a Theremin to scare cats away!.. Unfortunately I am still at work, so I won't be able to make any noises for a few hours yet..... Can't wait to get home....

Oke....
Lets hear it! :-)

Create a 'Progress' thread, and I'll compete with you who can scare the most cats. :-D
Look in the 'Progress RensD' for my first soundbyte.

Upload a soundbyte so we can hear!

Welcome Navrag, congratulations on finally taking the plunge into space controlled music making.

I don't think Rens has slept since his theremin arrived.
ThereminWorld has a forum section dedicated to personal progress threads and discussions, feel free to keep us posted there and post any theremin questions you may have in the other forums.

Thanks for helping TW keep growing.

Sleep? Whats that?
I COMPLETLY CALM!
Where's my ritalin?

No, really.
I dream of Theremins every night.
I've got melodies in my mind all the time.
And I get VERY frustrated not beeing able to play them.
... But I will.
