I am thinking about getting this theremin. Can someone explain the purpose of the wrist strap? I have not seen this on other theremins

A theremin needs to be well grounded in order to have an acceptable playing range. Battery operated devices aren't grounded, so the players body is taken as a virtual ground through the wrist cable.

Hi everybody,

I'm a newbee in the theremin world. I've just got a Gakken to start - I hope to manage to do something with before buying a B3 or an Etherwave...

So, thank you so much for the translation, I think it will be very useful to begin !
