So, on Friday a package from Floyd Engels arrived in the mail. My birthday is Sunday, so the timing is perfect. I received a binder with about 30 pages of notes, drawings, instructions and plans, a few miscellaneous parts, and some speaker cloth.

Floyd has in essence passed the torch onto me. I'm going to construct one speaker for now, and then make information available to those who want it, or if I really am as insane as I sound, will make more for those who want them. Maybe.

Those who have spoken about Floyd's craftsmanship and professionalism are not exaggerating. This information is thorough and simply amazing. There are a few photos of the original speaker in Clara's apartment.

I probably won't get started right away, as I have a few things to finish up with my theremin and other projects, but soon... watch this space.

I bought one of his theremin cellos and can also attest to his craftsmanship. Perhaps you could share his notebook online.. with his permission!

By the way... I just did a video of me playing the theremin cello. I am far from expert... but it gives you some idea of the instrument!

Nice instrument. I really enjoyed listening to your cello meditation video. (I'm rather partial to drones.) Is that an electric shurti box or a manual?

Thanks. I actually used my Continuum Fingerboard and created something of a drone track.

>>"video of me playing the theremin cello"
That was great to see. Thank you so much for posting it. It gave me a richer impression of the instrument and expanded on the pictures I have seen. But you don't really have a puppy head after all.

many thanks!

I had an operation. The work they could do was remarkable!

So mikebuffington, it's very exciting that you've taken on this project. Hope it's smooth going, I'd definately be one of those curious if you decide to take requests or not.
Am keeping my eyes peeled here for your news.
Good Luck!
