Hello all... i'm new to this forum and have a question regarding the Moog Etherwave Standard kit. I received/built the kit yesterday, and have discovered that the pitch is doing the opposite of what it should: it goes up in pitch as I move my hand away from the pitch antenna, and down as pitch as I move my hand towards the pitch antenna.

Any ideas as to where I may have gone wrong? I hope I didn't botch the thing!

TIA,
ben

It sounds like a tuning problem to me.

Indeed. This is where you get to read the scary bit of the hotrodding manual about tuning (page 6, Tuning the Pitch Circuit), and stick the little red stick into various coils and turn very carefully.

I just built the Moog Theremin Kit two weeks ago. I really was unable to establish any precise tuning method other than I just fiddled with the coil adjustments until I got the range/note spacing that I wanted.

So, don't get discouraged... hang in there. The tuning procedure is a bit time-consuming.
