I have set up an open "group" where all manner of documentation, spreadsheets, schematics, netlists, PCB layouts, Simulation files etc can be placed.

I hope this will become a useful resource for Theremin builders / designers etc.

Please note this is ONLY for technical information - The site which hosts this group is for electronic engineering only.

You do not need to be a member or register to download files.. I think you may need to register if you want to contribute.

Membership is not needed (and probably a bit pointless) but you can sign up if you want to keep me company ;-)

At present, there are a few .pdf's I have placed which are not available anywhere else.. these are:

Fully annotated schematic and layout for the EPE 2008 Theremin (.pdf) (http://www.element-14.com/community/docs/DOC-16872) ...The original schematic / layout was a real pain to support, as there were no component references.. In the end, out of utter frustration, I did the job so I could communicate with the 2 people who had bought EPE kits from me.

Details of circuit board fault on EPE 2008 board and how to fix this. (.pdf) (http://www.element-14.com/community/docs/DOC-16873)

Simulation of Moog pitch-voltage log converter (.pdf) (http://www.element-14.com/community/docs/DOC-16871)

I do not intend to give notifications here of everything posted on the group.. ! ;-)

I like the 1961 Electronics Illustrated Theremin, but I can't figure out how to send a comment about it on Element 14.

Don,

From the home page for element14 Group Theremin General - Resources (http://www.element-14.com/community/groups/theremin-general-resources) click the Documents tab (http://www.element-14.com/community/groups/theremin-general-resources?view=documents) which should take you to this Documents overview (http://www.element-14.com/community/groups/theremin-general-resources?view=documents)..

Then click once on Theremin 1961 Electronics illustrated Tube Theremin (full article) (http://www.element-14.com/community/docs/DOC-16926)..

Below the description of the article, you should see [COMMENTS x] and a underlined "add a comment"..

The problem is probably that you are going too quickly, and opening the actual file before looking at where it is referenced from.

PLEASE EVERYONE -

I am sure that I cannot be the only person who has collected schematics of Theremins and other theremin related technical data..

Lets have a big library of these!

It costs you nothing to save these precious files somewhere everyone can access - And, if you ever lose your hard drive or backup disks, you can recover at least all your Theremin postings!

Free on-line storage!

;-)

.. you could also give a rating to any article you like.. this gives points to the person who posted it, and increases their 'status'..

I have managed to move my status from #3700 (lowest) to #18 in a few days - the top 8 will probably never be overtaken, as they are Farnell exec's who give themselves however many points they need to stay at the top.. but I think I can join them on the top page..

LOL! isnt ego a funny thing... ;-)

Oh .. in case anyone is wondering why I am spending all this time on trivia, rather than working on the Theremin.. ;-) I had a time-line glitch, and some special parts I am having made (RF Transformers) are late.. so I have been in limbo for a few days - Real pain, cause I will be away all next week, and needed to get the boards built + tested before I left .. 2 more weeks lost. 8-(
