What's Your Theremin Going To Be For Halloween?

Cliché as it may be, this can be a fun time for aether players.

So is your theremin making any special appearances for Halloween?

Will it wear a little cape?
Will it be set up at your party, so when folks pass it, it sings?
Will it be playing dramatic or melancholy classics late at night?
Will it be hiding with you behind the pumpkin to scare trick-or-treaters?

Gordon, you might influence the linearity and the pitch range by modifying the acoustic environment, i.e. by pulling a sock over one of the walkie-talkies or by wrapping slightly it into tissue paper... ;-)

Hi Thierry, I've also observed this affect on linearity when putting cable sleeving on my pitch rod.

The last couple of years the Halloween weather has been cold.

Today is pretty warm and this evening should be comfortable so I think I'll set up in front of the house with my Etherwave Standard, a loop pedal, and a couple of speakers. I can make quite a few eerie sounds. I'll set up so that trick-or-treaters can try out the theremin, too.

Should be fun.
