Fred, there are exceptions to the rule.
For instance, when I use a vacuum cleaner I am hoovering, except when I wear a pretty frock in which case the correct term is Hoovering.
The truth is, my grammatical fascism is entirely context dependant. When [i]I[/i] am typing I apply it almost all the time. (*) On internet forums other people's adherence to conventional grammar and spelling or lack thereof does not bother me in the slightest. So do what you want. I appreciate that people have better things to do with their time than proof reading. In contexts where proofing is expected - books, newspapers and so on - its lack annoys the heck out of me. Well, unless it's intentional. My father got exactly one word (**) into Finnegans Wake before he commented "Huh. You're supposed to start a sentence with a capital letter." He read no further.
(*) Mostly because I find it almost impossible to do otherwise, although I can justify it as being considerate to non-native English speakers who rely on shoddy tools like online translation services that need all the help they can get.
(**) Possibly just one letter, as he did not complain that riverrun is not a proper word.
