London Ether Festival- Six Ondes Martenot in Concert!

On the 27-28 March the National Ether Festival will feature six ondes martenot in concert, as well as performances from many virtuosos in the field of electronic instrumentation.

Although I believe that the theremin will not feature, I have booked tickets and expect it to be an amazing insight into an instrument even more seldom seen than the theremin.

The Concert takes place in the London Festival Hall, featuring the London Sinfonetta on March 27, 28. (tickets: 0870 060 6096)

About the only theremin we get here is when the local movie house plays some old 50's Sc-Fi flick!

i wish our theater would play an old scifi movie, or something besides Hitch

lol! There used to be a drive-in in Plant City, which is a couple of hours away from here. Every Friday and Saturday night they would show great old Sci-Fi (I typed it right this time!) movies.

Sadly, they closed down about 5 years ago...

we have a drive in like an hour away, but i dunno about sci fi nights. some city theaters every now and then do a sci fi or horror fest though
