I'm in a band called soundtheft (http://www.soundtheft.tk). I am looking for an affordable Theremin and have found several. However, I need an amp. I have a 80 watt (i think) keyboard/vocals amp, will it work?

It really depends if you want to play it to make sound effects (ultra-cheap will suffice), simple music (pitch only will suffice), or play it as a serious instrument with expression (volume and pitch antennae).

There's no point in spending loads if all you want is a singing ghost, but if you want a proper expressive theremin sound then you have to be prepared to spend around $350- it would seem.

An 80 watt keyboard amp should be more than enough.
