New original royalty free theremin music/composer

Hi, Im a NYC based filmmkaer working on a short indie sci-fier in the tradition of the old Flash Gordon serials.

In our next batch of eps, our heroes are imprisoned in a Ball of Sound which is controlled by an extraterrestrial theremin- Everytime they move in the prison, the theremin's high pitch shriek immobilized them until Our Hero attempts to 'play it' and thus free them.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Composers?

Oh yeah - most of the music we've been using is a public domain orchestral recording of Liszt's "Les Preludes", "Mazeppa" and "The Rakocsky March" - some sort og theremin version of "Les Preludes" would be awesome.

Sounds like fun. Just to clarify, are you looking for feedback on the idea AND someone to play the theremin for the soundtrack? Do you primarily want sound effects, or actual melodies? Let us know how the project goes!

well ideally I'll need some SFX on the theremin as well as some of Liszt via thermein- basically a few seconds for both.

If I can find a PD royalty free site for the sound effects, cool - but If I had a performer - even better! :)

This is for a jail sequence in 2 episodes. We havent shot the live action yet so I cant even tell you exactly how long the pieces need to be.
