I am very honoured indeed.

Should the urge to rhyme overtake me again, I will be proud to bear the letters TPL after my name. (Pronounced "tupple" - the Gujerati word for a clip around the ear!)

As thanks, here is one in your honour...

There's a new fixation
on every radio station
and in every conversation.
It's a cause for celebration
as an ageing innovation
with a curious machination
and no tonal limitation
has seen the instigation
of a great rejuvenation
as a source of inspiration
for the music of the nations!
My best prognostication
for this wondrous Lev-itation?
Jump with jubilation;
it's World Thereminisation!

And finally, as I feel poets laureate ought to be controversial figures and I'm in a mischievous mood...

The thereminist Peter Pringle
is sure to make your fingers tingle.
His notes are crisp
as diamond chips.
Also, once he had a hit single.

It seems I have one more in me...

A Hetero-Sexual Love Song

Oh theremin, my theremin,
you lead me in the ways of sin.
When I penetrate your control zone
and dip my fingers in your ring,
I'll make you groan,
I'll make you sing,
with my aerial fingering.
And when towards your rod I twitch
I'll make your wailing rise in pitch.
And then I'll do much more than this;
sighing,
swooning,
fevered moaning,
ending in post-choral bliss.

It's quoted several times in 'Theremin: Electronic Music and Espionage.' Mostar attended a concert held by Professor Theremin in 1927 in Berlin, so I believe, and wrote this poem as a response.

I think it's beautiful.
