I can't decide on an Etherwave or a Kees Enkelaar.
It's such a difficult decisison! I am interested in playing melodies and possibly classical music, not sound effects.

Could anybody explain to me the pros/cons of each one in every field? links to sound files?

thanks for helping out a begginer Thereminist

I haven't played a Kees but I have an Etherwave Standard and I absolutely love it!

I have heard some good things about the other one too.

One of them is price.

I know that probably doesn't help you much.

I faced the same decision recently, and chose the Kees on financial grounds. My general impression was that they are both excellent beginners' instruments, but for the extra money the etherwave might take a bit longer to grow out of.

Kees links and clips.

Some video clips of the Kees (http://appserver.veoh.com/mediaDetails.html?permalinkId=s2683)

The vids are on Veoh (http://veoh.com/) so you'll need to install that - bringing Quicktime (http://apple.com/quicktime/) up to version 7 is a good idea too. I have submitted them for listing on the Theremin Video's page along with a bunch of others, check there later...

Thanks for the video links Gordon! They're included on the video page (http://www.thereminworld.com/videos.asp) now.
