NO, Im not talking about HMO's and co-pays here.

I just wanted to know if anyone believes that playing the theremin can lead to longevity.

I have heard various theories that magnetics can help your blood circulation. They sound kind of like crack-pot stuff but then I remember that blood contains a lot of iron and who knows....?

Anyway, Lev and Clara both lived to a ripe old age.

Is there hope for any of us?

Hmm, careful with your research in this area... Years ago a friend bought me an aging curiosity from a flea market - some glass tubes which connected to a small transformer to deliver health giving jolts of electricity to the patient. Earlier this year I decided to track it down on the internet, and discovered devices of this kind were undergoing something of a renaissance as kinky sex toys.

I do recall reading that conductors are particularly long lived. (That's musical, not electrical.)

I've found that playing the theremin can be relaxing. Under the right circumstances, I sometimes reach what I'd call an altered state, much like what I imagine you'd get from meditation.

I imagine it can be the result of the mind being cleared from the level of concentration required along with the soothing sound of the theremin itself.

Will it increase health and prolong life? Some people might think it could. I don't know myself....but it can't hurt.

Every time a theremin screeches an angel gets its wings....

The altered state thing also happens with drumming.

If you are with a group of people and they are all pounding out a beat you get to that place.
