I was practicing just abit ago, and my Epro just wnt to it's highest note, and stayed there, and then changed pitch at random all by it's self. And then, I heared something going on inside the cabinet. I knew something had got in, but didn't know what, so I cut power, and unpluged. Not wanting to void my warenty, I took a dental mirror, and flashlight, and poked it though the ventilation holes on the back, and low, and behold, there was a little yellow spotted gecko, with a banded tail sitting right on a capacitor. How the heck he managed to keep from getting fried is beyond me. Luckilly, all I had to do was blow inside the upper hole, and that scared him out the bottom hole.

I guess he was going after a roach that was in there too, or just soaking up a little heat, I don't know.

Now, I've got to find a way to attach a plastic screen mesh on the inside of the vent holes. I'm scared I'm going to void my warenty by doing that.

I don't want ot use staples, anyone know if glue would work without affecting anything?

Now that's funny! It's something we northerners never have to think about. I suppose we could have a mouse do the same thing.

At least it didn't try to sell you some insurance!

Guess he figured his own policy nearly got voided hangin' around the electronics.

So far, I don't think any damage was done.

A gecko in your theremin?

Could have been worse.

Could have been lizards in your television (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7335725351067764604).

Woaw, a theremin fan gecko. I'm glad he didn't eat all the inside.

"A gecko's gotten into my theremin." I love it! I'm definitely gonna keep this in mind until my playing improves. It's the perfect Gulf Coast excuse!

I wouldn't risk voiding my warranty. You might want to simply stuff a soft rag or some paper toweling into the vent slots when you aren't playing your EPro. I think neither geckos nor roaches will approach the instrument while you are using it.

Thomas, my son wants a gecko. He has been talking about it incessantly for weeks.

If the little guy ever comes back, would you catch him and mailo him to me?

I will pay for your time and postage, lol!
