heard of a theremin on today

Giving the kid a sitar before giving him a theremin was an excellent idea. Indian music is based on a quarter tone system and is great for ear training, learning scales & modes etc.

Thanks for the sighting thereminfan9!  I actually laughed a bit when I read your post - that a famous child actor still has to ask his parents for something.  Glad to know all the fame and money hasn't gone to their heads.
