Everyone who has built a theremin (or tried) knows how hard it can be to find those pesky tunable coils. Here are a few possibilities:

Coilcraft (a.k.a. Inductors.com)
Coilcraft has a wide variety of inductors available. You can even order samples.

Bell Industries, Inc.
J.W. Miller coils are mentioned in many schematics. I have been told that the ones needed (#9001 series) are non-standard and therefore rather expensive.

Ocean State Electronics
Ocean State sells forms for winding your own coils. The ranges aren't perfect, but they should be close enough to do the job.

Electrosonics
Barry Eso of the Theremin Enthusiasts Club International bought his coils here.

Piconics Online Inductor Catalog
This company offers a wide range of inductors and coils. You may find some of those hard-to-locate theremin parts here.
