Born in 1943, studied Chemistry at Freiburg (Breisgau, Germany). I learnt electronics as an autodidact. It helped me to develop a sophisticated circuitry for measuring tiny heat flow amounts evolved by kinetically catalysed chemical reactions. With these skills I was able to construct a theremin of my own. I intended to create the Steinway of Theremins. Now I live at Dortmund. I have developed my theremin with many great features. My prototype theremin had its first appearance in November 2012 at Lippstadt. In July 2013 I introduced it at the Summer Academy at Colmar. Some fine corrections had been made since then. The mixing of three voices allows to generate a wide variety of timbres. A second theremin is under construction with some improvements built-in. This theremin will soon be completed. I have introduced a new voice to be mixed in, a cascode demodulator. It replaces the Moog diode mixer. This one picked up too much electrosmog and coupled it into the antenna by capacitive action. I have abondoned it. The electrosmog hum did NOT come from a ground loop! It would easily have been detected and removed. The cascode avoids these disadvantages yielding a much clearer sound wihout the annoying 50 Hz hum. The sound curve will be controlled by a Baxandall circuit known as "cow-tail" among HiFi freaks. I await a more powerful sound in the bass range. But there are some more improvements. You may be excited about them.
