This week Project: Pimento embarks on a massive two-day coast-to-coast tour...assuming that the shores of Lake Merritt counts as a coast.
To start the tour, this Thursday (4/13) Project: Pimento brings their space-age theremin lounge sounds to the Parkway Theatre in Oakland (1834 Park Blvd) for a show hosted by Thrillville (www.thrillville.net). Project: Pimento will perform before a screening of the 1956 sci-fi classic "Forbidden Planet". Theremin music and science fiction...now there's a combo that no one's thought of before! Project: Pimento plays at 9pm sharp, and the movie starts immediately after. Come on out and watch the band and a classic movie, all while sitting in a couch and drinking beer! It doesn't get much better than that!
Then on Friday (4/14), Project: Pimento travels to the far western end of the continent to perform at the Park Chalet, located at San Francisco's Ocean Beach (www.beachchalet.com). You won't want to miss this tour-ending celebration! Show starts at 8:30 and goes until 11:30. We'll see you at the bar!
