RCA Theremin Technical Information
The original RCA theremin, model AR-1264, was produced in 1929. It is believed that only about 500 units were made. The RCA theremin features a vacuum tube circuit, large air-core coils, and a beautiful wooden cabinet.

RCA Serial Numbers
The RCA AR-1264 Theremins were produced by both General Electric and Westinghouse. This is a list from the Smithsonian archives containing the serial numbers from both manufacturers.
