I just got a new Etherwave as an early Christmas gift.

I noted that the chirp one gets when one touches the volumn antenna is still present, but much less pronounced than with the older Big Briar Etherwave I was using.

Is this normal?

Tnx

I don't know if it's normal or not. But, your not the only one with this problem. Mine does the same thing. Please refer to my post "Is this normal for Etherwaves?" (http://www.thereminworld.com/forum.asp?cmd=p&T=1041&F=557) in the "Theremin Newcomers" forum.

I suggest that you practice on getting your hand close enough to the volume antenna to mute the notes without touching it. Hey, its a theremin after all. :)

I'm just a picky engineer. I'm going to try my best not the open the case on this thing, as its so nice.

Keep me away from soldering irons!
