Hey guys, how are you?

I'm a thereminist from Brazil and I'm researching ways to use the theremin as a controller, modifying video or image.
I'll probably be using Max/Msp/Jitter to analyse the sound and create visuals. Has anyone here done that (it could be with other software)?

If you have any suggestion on works or artists doing that, I would like to know. =)

Thanks!

Julia, what you are doing sounds like fun but a bit too sophisticated for me. Ten years ago I was fascinated by lighting up the Thereminist with the right type of colorful light and they would control the volume and dim the light all in one hand movement, no sound no light. My volume control outputs a control voltage for this effect. For twenty years I wished there was a Thereminist local to me and I would have set them up with all of my wildest dreams at no cost. They would even have my very rare classic theremin sound to die for. The way my friend Valery S of St Petersburg Russia is playing, it is as if you can hear The Swan cry out.
