I’m a beginner with the theremin- I’ve been playing the moog theremini for a few months now, but something I can’t seem to find the answer or guide to is how to play lower notes on the theremini. I have the lowest note set to the lowest note it can be, but it seems like I can only play precise higher or mid-range notes while lower notes are harder to discern from each other and all sound pretty muddled together. I figure I’m probably just missing something. Any tips on how to get a better range of low notes on the theremini?

In the Theremini mode you could adjust your highest pitch to a lower tone to get a more playable bass range. In theremin mode you can switch to a lower (2 octaves down) register to accomplish more or less the same thing. Then there is the thing that the hearing of pitches tends to be less precise in the deep bass region. A more overtone rich tone is easier to intonate by ear than something that is close to a pure sinewave in that respect.
