Hola.
The volume circuit is stable enough, I only make an initial adjustment, but it can be adjusted for a shorter attack.
You can also reverse the pulse, so that the LED turns on when the hand is placed on the antenna, this can be used in 2 ways, to further attenuate the audio output or to reverse the way the volume works (not traditional ).
The frequency is low, it can move from 180Khz to 200Khz depending on the configuration of the inductor.
The frequency of the volume oscillator at something around 1.3Mhz

With my use of a similar LDR or Vactrol on my stuff the output voltage on the positive side has available around 5 volts which would be at R19 on your C24. If so the extra LED makes for a good indicator that sound should pass. I need to do some fun exploring with your design. Like dewster said my guess is the high impedance pnp base is picking up 50/60 hum or electromagnetic field.

When I said I owe you one I meant it. That package deal is still on for you only. The Phoenix project is perfect for you as you appear young and still curious, that is your superpower. Not like me or so many others who became so smart in life they ended up stupid.

The Sacred Beads reveal to me you understand the Phoenix, her voice comes from a place beyond the circuits, she expresses her end, she is crying.

It would be fun and rewarding to try.

Saludos.

Goño,

I will put the package together for a January send off to arrive after all the Christmas packages.
I would enjoy hearing another one sing.

My latest pcb parts list has the IF Can inductors or fixed inductors with a single 5 to 22pf variable capacitor.

I always rename it after a major design change, I might call this improvement the   B-Lev & B-Lev Antenna
