Hey, I just bought a Moog Etherwave and I was wondering if I could put stickers (band stickers etc.) on the case itself or if that would affect the pitch by being too close to the antenna

thanks

Place the sticker on top of the instrument. Turn it on and try it out. Working okay? Then it's okay to apply the sticker there. (It should be fine, but I wanted to help you think about how to test this for yourself.)

Just to be careful, I recommend placing the sticker so it doesn't touch any metal parts. And, you may want to ensure it doesn't cover or cross any of the seams of the case, so that in the future if you want to open the case to modify or repair the instrument you don't have to cut the sticker.

hey andy,
here (http://www.thereminworld.com/gal-pom.asp) you can see a picture of my cat, along with my theremin that has a few stickers on, and even some aluminium foil, which gives a really cool effect when touching while playing the theremin, but does not affect it negatively.
so: no problem.....

Make sure they are not mylar or foil and you should be fine....

Sit them on top of a theremin. If the pitch response changes and they look like mylar (http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=mylar), they probably are.

I got a Moog sticker when I registered my EW standard. It's now proudly displayed on the audience side of my theremin. There are no problems at all with pitch. I thaught about getting a space control zone sticker to put on the other end.
