I have a Tmax built by Wilco from theremin.nl (great place for us europans btw) and it worked fine until i tryed with big antennas. First time it worked perfect, then i changed back to the original antennas, then when i changed to the big ones again there was no sound unless i touch with my finger around R68. When I hold my finger there the theremin works perfect.

Is this normal? Is it dangerous for the theremin?
How do i do to get the effect of a finger on R68 whitout holding it there??

And also, what material is the best for big antennas? Right now i use steelwires...

With regards

Yes, this is normal. When you swap one antenna for another, you will need to adjust coil L2 to compensate for the change of antenna.

Also, check the shielded cable that runs from the circuit board to the antenna. Make sure the shield isn't shorting against anything -- this will cause all sound to stop.

Good luck!
