Theremin UK is now accepting bookings for Hands Off 2007

Visit theremin.org.uk (http://theremin.org.uk) to book your place at Hands Off 2007, from 27th to 30th July, now.

We need 30 bookings to ensure that Hands Off 2007 will happen, and the sooner the better - we have attendees coming from overseas who need to know that it is confirmed before they can buy airplane tickets, so please book as soon as you can.

You can help!

The more people that attend, the better the symposium.

If you know someone who would want to attend, tell them about it.

If you have a website, blog or myspace profile etc, please put one of our graphic links on it...

Or steal my avatar!

If you know of a website, blog, magazine, TV station, podcast or radio show that would be interested in running Hands Off as a news item, email them and point them to http://theremin.org.uk.

If you want to print some A4 posters for your next gig, or to display in your car window etc. email me at gordonc at theremin.org.uk and I will send you a copy in either pdf or photoshop format.

Do this and I will be forever in your debt. :-)

Thank you!

Wow, I wish I could go. I hope y'all get enough people together to pull it off.

Me too, Thomas, me too. I've spent nine months working up to making this announcement, and my heart is totally in my mouth over it. There is always an element of risk involved, and now I've got to the point where to proceed further I need to know that people are coming, and then I can start spending money as well as effort.

I am also rather aware that there is just over three months to go. Ideally I wanted to start taking bookings a few weeks ago, but wouldn't you know it, the Charlton household was beset with matters that could not be set aside - I'm still horizontal pretty much most of the time with the flu and back problems, neither of which are trivial when you have M.E. but at least the little one and the wife are over their cases of the flu and back at school and work respectively. And Maya's mum was rushed into hospital - she's still on the critical list - if you're the praying type then your prayers would be appreciated.

But, on the positive side, in the midst of all this (and a few other things too, but I've moaned enough already) Google brought Google Checkout to the UK and are running a special offer until the end of the year - free transactions - going with Paypal would have cost about six pounds per attendee, so that's a good thing for the symposium.

So now it all rests on reaching the people who need to know about Hands Off, and that means it's all hands to the pump. That stuff I mentioned about putting notices on your websites and so on - not just idle words - I need your assistance to pull this off. Please.
