Theremin events in the Uk

Hi all,

not sure if this is in the right forum but I'm going for it.

I've been viewing the up and coming theremin events and they all seem to be either in the US (the NY Theremin Soc on the 12th of December looks really good...only $15 plus $700 travel...sigh) or Europe. I think something was going on in Turkey also.
Last year there was Hands-Off in Scarborough but I can't see if there are further plans to do a Hands-Off 2013/14/15 or so on.

Does anyone know of any future planned theremin events in the Uk?

I don't have any Hands Off events in planning at the moment.

Aye, bundles of Monopoly money:-)

Besides, I'm saving it up so that when all of my theremin pals come to Edinburgh to play a gig in the Queens Hall I'll be able to buy their CD's and treat them all to nice malt whiskies all evening:-)

(Roy suddenly aquires 200+ Theremin World pals...)

Seriously though, wouldn't that just be fantastic?

Karl Heinz Stockhausen was here a few years ago and played two of his pieces-just fab. Even shoock the guy's hand.
Bob Moog and Jean Jacques Perrey were also here to treat us to an evening's worth of musings and chit-chat. Very good it was too.

Seriously fantastic!

I try to post all the theremin events I can find. Ideally, artists would find the site valuable and post their own events, but I know it takes time to build momentum for things like that. In the meantime, if anyone knows of shows/events not listed, please feel free to post them.  Once I finish the private messages feature (which is taking much longer than I'd anticipated), I want to work on making it easy to post events from your facebook timeline here too.

Amey et al.

Firstly, have yersels a blast at yer gig on the 12th in NY. Sadly my piggy bank didn't have enough pennies in it for me to be there :-(

Which brings me on to the second thang: is there any chance of vid-ing said gig and posting a selection for those of us not fortunate enough to be there?

I am certain there will be plenty of people who will be happily recording all of the mistakes I'll be making and putting it up on YT for all to see and flame me with :)

Just back in from drinking beer and playing my fiddle in an Edinburgh pub session.
Thinking that by round about this time y'all in NY will be firing up your theremin ready to make some lovely sounds.

Ahhh...wishing I was there...
