SBL 1 Mixer

So I'm in the middle of an EW build and wonder if anyone has ever tried a SBL-1 Mixer instead of the single diode one?

Here's my build. There's a nice spot for the SBL-1 in the middle there...

So here's what I came up with. We have to chop the 24V waves down to 1.4V and 0.7V for the SBL-1

then boost the 0.25V output up to 0.8V like the original EW.

I also found some 8038 pcb's on Ebay for $2.27 delivered!

You could use these to add some LFO type things. One set to a faster freq

could modulate the pitch oscillator trim for FM stuff. Another set to 0 -20 hz

or so could modulate on 2 on the 13700 which changes the pulse width. Another

could sum with the VCA output for amplitude varitions. They would need some 

buffering and pots to tune amplitude but could be added like this;
