If like me, you unfortunately missed Sunday night's episode of Spellbound and you've been following the "spellbound surprise" thread this week, you've been wondering what GordonC had cooked up. Well the cat's out of the bag now, and all I can say is THANKS!!! ThereminWorld and I have the best readers in the world.
It turns out that this month is the 10th anniversary of ThereminWorld (in its many forms), and GordonC arranged a special surprise treat for me on Spellbound. I have no idea how he coordinated this (I'm anxious to hear the story), but he somehow got a TON of our readers to join together in a virtual chorus of Happy Birthday and well wishes. The segment aired on Spellbound's April 1st episode (download it here).
As I said, I missed the live airing of the episode, but host David Vesel posted the podcast today so I listened to it on my commute home. I had been following Gordon's hints all week in our forums and was elated when I finally heard the surprise.
Our readers have formed an amazing world-wide community over the past 10 years, and I'm humbled to be able to be part of it. It was great to hear from so many of you I've met in person at theremin events over the years and the all rest I hope to meet in person soon!
So thanks again, and as Kevin Sinot said, "Here's to the next 10 years!"
