If you watched the Beach Boys historical reunion tonight on the Grammy Awards, you probably caught a glimpse of the elusive Tannerin, an electronic instrument that sounds like and is often mistaken for a theremin. But make no mistake, these are 2 very different instruments!
But what is a Tannerin and how is it different from a theremin? For one thing, unlike a theremin, you actually have to touch a Tannerin to play it. Another key point - it's what the Beach Boys used in Good Vibrations (not a theremin).
